When I was a kid, I liked to be in my own world. While other kids played outside, I was happy making up ideas in my head or playing my bass guitar. I was a quiet person back then, and my mind was always buzzing with cool thoughts and plans.

 

For a long time, I didn't think I was an artist. I saw other kids draw perfect pictures of people or trace cartoons, and I'd think, "Wow, that's real art. I can't do that." But I loved to just doodle and draw messy lines. I'd even look at water splashes on the ground and see faces or cool shapes in them! Still, because my art wasn't like theirs, I felt like maybe I wasn't really creative.

 

Then, a big idea hit me: Art isn't just one way of doing things! Being creative means seeing the world in your own special way. It's like a spark that lives inside every single person. I realized I was artistic, I just had to learn to see my own kind of art. It was an amazing feeling, like unlocking a hidden door.

 

This big idea is why I started ROT DROP. I've always loved the wild, cool look of skateboarding art and the awesome freedom of abstract art. Those artists just do their own thing, and that's so cool. I found out that I could be like them – finding my own style and showing it off.
